The FDA Issues Warning About Compounded Semaglutide. Here’s What You Need to Know
Chill Cryotherapy provides compounded Semaglutide medication for our patients. The FDA recently issued a warning about compounded Semaglutide that contains Semaglutide SALT.
Semaglutide medication at Chill Cryotherapy is compounded in an FDA registered pharmacy, licensed through New York state. Our pharmacy utilizes Semaglutide Glycogon-Like Peptide-1. GLP-1 is the SAME ingredient used in Ozempic and Wegovy. Our pharmacy does not use semaglutide SALT – never did and never will!
Dr. Jason Chertoff, our medical director, has reviewed our compounded semaglutide and its ingredients. Dr Chertoff has confirmed that our Semaglutide is fully compliant with FDA recommendations and requirements and does not contain Semaglutide Salts. Please see the graphic comparing our Semaglutide with the brand name medications: there is NO difference in the active ingredient GLP-1. Our Semaglutide injections include a small dose of vitamin B12 and use a different preservative (both are inactive ingredients and do not affect efficacy or safety).
We understand concerns over the safety & efficacy of compounded semaglutide, Semaglutide through Chill Cryotherapy does not contain SALT and has exactly the same efficacy and safety profile as Ozempic and Wegovy. YOU are safe @Chill!
